The word for this week is “acnetis”.

I personally think this word is very appropriate as gardeners are engaging in their spring garden chores. Such a busy time of the year filled with a myriad of tasks which all demand almost immediate completion. One of the possible results of all this work is acnetis. 

This word indicates the part of one’s body which is impossible to reach in order to scratch an annoying itch.

Appropriately, acnetis is derived from the Greek word “aknestis” and surprise of all surprises, this word means “spine” in Greek.
