Time sure flies when you are having fun! An old cliché I know. But honestly, I cannot believe twelve months have passed since we launched duchessofdirt.ca.
Not being the most technically inclined when it comes to computers and website programming, I certainly could not have gotten up and running period without the invaluable help from my tech guy, Robi Gareau of CentreSpoke Consulting.
It is thanks to Robi my webpages are laid out so beautifully. And his patience in training me how to add and manage my own material on my website has been phenomenal. Ever helpful, Robi has readily come to my rescue through the odd glitch that has arisen…as it so often does in the land of internet connectedness.
None of my webpages would stand out so well without the benefits of my husband John’s wonderful photos. (And neither would my PowerPoint presentations!) His patience in providing me with just the right photos of the subjects I need…all sized exactly to easily insert onto my website…is duly noted and appreciated. I know I drive him nuts wanting a photo of this peony or that shrub right now. Today. Not tomorrow or next week.
This whole website experience has definitely been highlighted for me through what I have heard from some of the Visitors. Your comments about the layout and content of my website are very encouraging. I am so glad many of you are finding something you like…and/or helpful…within its pages.
And for those visitors who have not found the information or answers to their gardening questions/problems on my website, I am so thankful they have contacted me directly. The whole art of gardening is way too huge a subject to get all information up on the website in one fell swoop.
No. This website will always remain a constant work-in-progress. That is a good thing. Keeps me out of trouble.
