Duchess of DirtAs the Duchess of Dirt, I write a regular gardening column for one of our local newspapers…the Comox Valley Record.

My column has been appearing in the newspaper since March 24, 2004…first as a seasonal monthly column from March to July. A change the following year saw my column appear every month throughout the entire year. And early into 2006 my column began appearing every second week year round.

So, it goes without saying…I have a few articles piled up under my belt. Some, over the last two years, have appeared in my blog. And very likely, other odd columns will also make their way into one of my future blog postings.

The latest column is titled Many variations, but all black-eyed beauties. Sadly, my accompanying photo was not posted on the newspaper’s website with the article…although it did appear in the print version. I have added it here because it is such a lovely shot of some real black-eyed beauties.
