Once upon a time we used to have beautiful ring-neck pheasants visit our garden. Sadly, between a new land owner behind our place shooting his gun at bull frogs for target practice and regular meetings of a local hunting club using that same farm for dog training purposes…including firing of guns…the pheasants have not been seen in our garden for about eight years now. I sure miss them.
