Description

An herbaceous perennial with a neat, mounding habit. Rounded, lobed 3 – 4 in (7.5 – 10 cm) wide leaves are reminiscent of G. renardii – soft, velvety texture with a quilted look in blue-grey-green colour. Bluish-purple, 5-petalled flowers with dark veins appear in mid-spring to early summer. Petals are flushed with rosy-pink and are notched.

A hybrid seedling from crossing Geranium renardii and Geranium platypetalum. Very easy care. Drought tolerant. Relatively pest and disease free. Rabbit resistant but deer may nibble.

Great Plant Pick 2013   (Outstanding plant for the Pacific Northwest)
