Description
An herbaceous perennial with an upright, clump-forming habit. Coarse, oblong, medium green leaves with serrated edges appear in pairs up strong stems. Stems are a rich mahogany-red colour. Large umbels of rose-pink flowers appear in late summer through autumn.
Native to North America. Has a commanding presence in the garden. Long bloom period. Good cut flower. Deer and rabbit resistant. Relatively pest and disease free; some chewing on the leaf edges occasionally. Attracts bees and butterflies.
