These photos of robins in the Berberis thunbergii f. atropurpurea (barberry) were shot through our front room window. At one point, there were 6 robins on the plant…all scrambling to get the best berries. Branches were bobbing and weaving from their weight so it was quite the show. Not to mention, it was a bit of a challenge to get a decent photo between focusing through a plate of glass and their frantic antics in grabbing as many berries as they could. Actually, the latter helped since they were so intent on the berries they were not bothered by my close proximity at all.
