Teaser Tuesday

Lots of swallowtail butterflies in our garden this year.
This one is a pale swallowtail – Papilio eurymedon – on an ‘Abraham Darby’ flower.  
A beautiful sight indeed.

This week in the garden…

Yucca filamentosaBoy, has it turned warm! If you haven’t gotten the garden chores done by 10 a.m., you are in a full meltdown as you struggle to finish.

Mind you, there have been a couple of days with relatively stiff breezes but all they are doing is pushing the warm air around. It is still hot.

The yuccas are happy with the heat. They are in full bloom right now. Quite stellar looking, actually with their towering flower stems adorned with a multitude of creamy white flowers.
