Description

An herbaceous miniature perennial with a clump-forming habit. Thick, 2-inch (5 cm) long by 2.5-inch (6 cm) wide, blue-green to grey-green leaves are rounded and slightly curled in such a way as to resemble the ears on a mouse. Panicles of funnel-shaped, lavender flowers appear in mid-summer on thick, pale green stalks rising 8 – 12 inches (20 – 30 cm) tall.

A small-sized sport of Hosta ‘Blue Cadet’, ‘Blue Mouse Ears’ is perfect for growing in containers or a rock garden. Its clumping-forming habit maintains a neat, tidy mound throughout the season. Decently reliable resistance to slugs and snails due to the thickness of its leaves.
