Description
An herbaceous perennial which forms a low, dense mound. The thin, medium green leaves have a narrow, rippled yellow margin that fades to creamy white with age. Leaves have an overall satiny look. They cascade delightfully in a tidy mound. A raceme of purple-striped, funnel-shaped flowers appear on 12-inch (30 cm) tall scapes in mid-summer.
‘Stiletto’ is classified as a small hosta with a medium growth rate. Good edging plant. Its dense growth habit deters most garden weeds. Slugs and snails can be a problem. Deer and rabbits may nibble leaves. Flowers attract bees and hummingbirds.
